Johnny Kapahala, champion of surf and snow is back! While on vacation in Hawaii for Grandpa Tsunami's wedding, he discovers the Dirt Devils. They're a new rebel crew of dirtboarders who live for carving rock. They also aim to break up Johnny's family and shut down Grandpa Tsunami's new Surf Shop. Now it's up to Johnny, with help from old bud Sam, to whup the Devils on their own turf. But dirtboarding needs a new set of mad skills. Can Johnny reunite his family, save the Surf Shop, and become master of all-terrain?

With her mom away and dad too busy with work, Val turns to the dirtboarding Devils as family. She holds her own with the dudes on the dunes. All the guys got their crush on for Val. Especially Chris.
