The fun and adventure for Mickey and friends always begins in the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Transform your party spot into a clubhouse the children will love with some of these ideas.

  • Use a large piece of brown craft paper to create a clubhouse door to hang over your real door. Paint the door yellow, and draw in a doorknob and a round window at the top. When children enter your home or the party room, they'll feel like they're walking into Mickey's clubhouse! Be sure to include some drawings of fireworks or stars and stripes to give the clubhouse door a burst for Independence Day.
  • Mickey's Clubhouse is colorful and playful, especially because of the round, bright tiles on the floor. Use cardboard or craft paper to cut out circles in various sizes, paint them red, white, and blue, and use double-sided tape to place them on the floor of the party room.
  • Give each girl her very own 4th of July Toodles bracelet! Cut out Toodles-shaped charms out of construction paper and use stickers or simple drawings to decorate them with Independence Day-themed icons such as flags, stars, and sparklers. Then poke holes in both "ears" of the charm and weave string through the holes to hang on the bracelet.
  • Let the children "be" their favorite character from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse by having character-inspired dress-up gear on hand such as white gloves (all characters), mouse ears (Mickey or Minnie Mouse), sailor caps (Donald Duck), hair bows (Daisy Duck), green top hats (Goofy), or floppy dog ears (Pluto).
  • Create cut-outs of 4th of July-themed objects like U.S. flags and stars and hang them from the ceiling with red, white, and blue streamers.
For the "kids' table" print out some U.S. flag placemats and have the kids color in the state they're from or any states to which they've traveled.
