Little Einsteins Halloween Decorations
Before the party:
  • Download the hanging bats, spiders, and ghosts
  • Download the costume accessories inspired by the Little Einsteins' Halloween episode from and assemble a complete set (or more) for each party guest:
  • Set up a "boom box" or stereo and secure a recorded copy of Edvard Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King" (taken from Peer Gynt, Suite No. 1, Opus 46)
  • Purchase several real pumpkins in different sizes
  • Purchase four plastic, hollow pumpkins to fill with treats
  • Create a "Costume Station" area where an adult can help children put on their downloaded paper costumes
  • Optional: Locate a large appliance box to use in making a cardboard "Rocket ship." You can make it one-dimensional to decorate, or you can create a cardboard "front" large enough to place in front of four chairs, which kids can then use to to play-pretend that they're riding in Rocket. You will need red and light blue poster paint or spray paint.
  • Make a sign using blue, yellow, and red paint that resembles the Little Einsteins' logo and reads "Welcome to the Little Einsteins' Halloween Mission!"
  • Hang your downloaded bats, spiders, and ghosts throughout the party area
  • String purple and orange streamers along the ceiling and in doorways
  • Cut out musical notes from brightly colored poster board, and hang or tape around the party area
  • Arrange real pumpkins - carved or intact - in clusters of different sizes around the party area
  • Fill three plastic pumpkins with raisin boxes, pretzels, and mini-granola bars for quick "pick-me-up party treats" and place around the party area
  • Make a sign that says "Costume Station" and place at costume-dressing area
  • Optional: Hang your hand-made Rocket ship near the party entrance or place it in an area with plenty of space to allow kids to play "in" and around it
