The Hundred Acre Wood is a cheerful place, where trees double as homes and nature provides much to explore for the Super Sleuths and their friends. Put your own creativity to work and make a woodsy environment that the gang would love.
Raise your own Finder Flag! Simply cut out a rectangle from blue poster board and attach the sleuth's "logo" -- a chubby green question mark atop an inverted yellow triangle -- on it. Print out the logo here.
From a large roll of brown craft paper, cut out simple branches and tree trunks and hang them throughout the party area. Use a brown marker to add details such as bark, nubs, and -- of course -- honey holes!
The Hundred Acre Wood is famous for its charming, handwritten wooden signs, which are often misspelled or feature letters written backwards. From craft paper or poster board, make your own signs to identify party areas and hang them throughout.
Place a new flowerpot or even a spare cookie jar on the party table with a sign that reads "Hunny." Fill it with yellow jellybeans or honey-flavored candies -- later in the party, have kids guess how many candies are in there -- the winner takes the "hunny pot" home!
Make sure your own Super Sleuths fit the bill when it comes to outfits. Make Sleuth badges -- with the question-mark logo -- for all party guests and have them don it once they arrive. You can also purchase blue baseball caps like the one Darby wears or make simple blue facemasks like the one Pooh wears. Print out badges here.
Create cutouts of squirrels and acorns -- even the Hundred Acre Wood gang -- and hang on walls or from yarn on the ceiling.
Use a large appliance box (or two) to create a Super Sleuth treehouse. Adorn with the question-mark logo and handmade sign -- place throw rugs and pillows inside to encourage children to hang out and think, think, think!
Print out our paper placemats here. Customize by putting each child's name on one.
